Why we exist
Our Mission
Ama Jatra was founded with a single purpose: to make Odia theatre easier to discover, book, and experience. Traditional Jatra and Gananatya performances are the heartbeat of Odia culture, yet organising and reaching audiences remained offline and fragmented.
We built a platform that digitises the entire journey — from discovering a show in your district to scanning your QR code at the gate — while keeping the experience simple, affordable, and deeply rooted in local culture.
What we stand for
Celebrating Odia Culture
We exist to bring the magic of Odia theatre — Jatra, Gananatya, and contemporary drama — to audiences across Odisha and beyond.
Rooted in Odisha
Built by a team passionate about Odia arts, we understand local culture and the needs of both organisers and audiences.
Empowering Artists
We give theatre groups and performing artists a digital platform to reach wider audiences and grow their community.
Community First
A portion of every ticket sold supports local theatre initiatives and artist welfare programmes across Odisha.
